The night with Wedding Photographer Adrian O’Neill originally scheduled for Dec. 1st has been deferred to a later date. We will  instead have a general night on photography,equipment and Photoshop, so bring along cameras etc and laptops and have any questions you may have answered.

Next Monday night the ladies in the club will present their portfolios. As we have a high percentage of lady members in the club all keen photographers it should be a very interesting night.

The outing to Spike Island in Cobh on Saturday was a great success with thirteen members traveling. The members had exclusive assess on the day and the weather miraculously remained dry and sunny while we were on the island. There are some great photographic opportunity’s there and the time just flew by with everyone wishing for more time to explore the island

The SACC regional qualifying round of IPF National Print & Projected Image Competition takes place on Sunday November 30th at Horse & Jockey Hotel, Co. Tipperary.

Details of online entry system will be published in coming weeks, but for now, start selecting, printing & mounting your images. Don’t forget, mount size MUST be 20 x 16 inches!

In addition to the open sections in color print, mono print & projected image, the themed sections are as follows this year:

Color Print: Still life
Monochrome Print: Seascape
Projected Image: Landscape

Photo outing to Cobh this Saturday including a trip to spike island. Meeting Cobh harbour at 10.00 and boat to the island leaving 10:30. We will have exclusive access on the island and if weather is bad we can take photos inside on the island Please reply to Rodney on 086 848 7875 to confirm attendance. Cost of boat and access to spike island is €12 per person.

Next Monday night Nov 17th we will have a  Composition and Critique night. Bring along your images printed or digital.

On Nov 10th We have a night dedicated to Black and White Photography or Monochrome.There are many ways to convert a color image to B&W in Photoshop and some of these will be shown and discussed on the Night.
