Last night was our first night back after the summer break and it was great to see many new faces in the crowd along with returning members.
There was a presentation on the night of framed prints and gift vouchers to the recent Mallow arts festival Photography competition winners.
Paddy Lane of Mallow Arts Alliance and Blackwater Photographic Society Chairman Sean Murphy presented the winners with their prizes.
Well done once again to Ralph De Kramer, Rebecca Murphy and Cian O Mahony on winning their categories.
Our next Meeting takes place at 8pm on Monday September 16th in The Social Services Center with our new members / Beginners course starting at 7.30pm.

Mallow Arts Festival Photography Competition
Mallow Arts Festival in association with Blackwater Photographic Society are running a photography competition as part of this years festival.The framed winning images will be displayed during the festival at Herlihys Centra on Mallows Main Street.
There will be 3 categories:
🔻Adult
🔻Secondary school pupils
🔻National school pupils
The theme is open so anything goes.
Maximum of 3 entries per person

The 2019 Mallow arts festival runs from July 24th – 28th

SACC INTERCLUB RESULTS
We are delighted to announce the fantastic results from the SACC Interclub 2019 competition, which was judged in the Horse and jockey Hotel Thurles Yesterday 27th April 2019.
We received 2nd in the Colour Section and we were 3rd overall in both colour and monochrome in the southern region with Mallow camera club.
We would also like to congratulate Mallow Camera club on their achievements Yesterday. Well done to all.

SALON AWARDS FOR KIERAN & JOHN

Congratulations to Kieran O Mahony and John Flynn on winning awards in this years Cork International salon of photography.
Kieran received a PSA silver medal for his image of a fox with a rabbit in the nature section and John Flynn received a FIAP ribbon in the Landscape section for his shot of Buachaille Etive Mor in the Scottish highlands.
This year the Cork Salon of Photography had almost 4,500 entries from photographers from all over the world.
The awards will be presented at an event in Cork in January.
