There  will be a club outing to Dingle on December 28 .We will leave from the Arches Mallow at 6AM . The plan for the day will be to visit various locations on the Dingle Penninsula doing our best to include a sunrise and sunset . It will be a long day and would be a good idea to bring a packed lunch . An umbrella , spare clothes + wellies might also come in handy.

As always outings are subject to weather conditions and if the weather is poor for Dec 28 , we might reschedule to Dec 27

The Blackwater Photographic Society had its first social night out with a Christmas Dinner at the Arches. Members and their partners had a great night out. Everybody was in a festive mood helped no doubt by the complementary wine. Thanks to the  arches staff who served up a fabulous meal on the night.

The Blackwater Photographic Society availed of the mild weather again with the very enjoyable shoot around Mallow.Sample of the type of images taken on the night.

The Blackwater Photographic Society are having a social night on Dec 12th in The Arches 7.45 . This an important event in our calendar being our first social event since the formation of the Society . A three course meal will be served on the night costing 25 Euro. Members are encouraged to bring to bring along their partners. Entertainment on the night by our resident comedian Jim Heffernan , looking forward to seeing you all there.

A reminder for everyone to bring cameras and tripods for our night shoot this coming Monday Dec 9th , meeting at the Arches at 8.30 sharp.

The Blackwater Photographic Society will have an exhibition in Mallow Library . The exhibition will run from January 2nd for two weeks. Members wishing to participate should bring in up to four mounted 15×10 prints at the next meeting.

Bring along your photographs (Digital or Prints) next Monday night for evaluation. This is an opportunity to show your work and receive helpful tips on how to improve your photography. As always bring along your cameras and laptops if you have any queries on same.

The BFS are having a night shoot around Mallow Town instead of our normal night at the Arches. Meeting up at the Arches at 8.30. Bring your tripods and remote releases if you have them. Night photography opens up a whole new area and can be fun.

A club photo shoot to Gougane Barra be held on Sunday. Leaving from the Arches at 6.00 AM sharp. Club members should avail of the good weather and fabulous light at this time of year.

On next Monday 18 November we will have a Photoshop tutorial night . The night will commence with a presentation by Rodney o Callaghan covering basic to advanced techniques. We will then form smaller  groups to enable one to one tuition, make sure to bring in your laptops on the night
