To all our members – we have cork camera group visiting us tonight. This is sure to be a great and informative night so we’d encourage all members to attend. Also – please bring your images for next weeks competition. Next – if you had images in the National shield, please bring €7 for your mounted print. And finally, we’re collecting €10 deposit tonight for our Christmas party in December.
Model Night Nov 2016
The Model night was a fantastic success with a very large attendance and hopefully everybody got some great shots.We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to the beautiful and very accommodating models Ina, Ona and Kristine,and also to Katriona of the Vintage Clothing shop at Joseph’s road who supplied all of the stunning outfits worn by the models.look forward to seeing some of your results.
The Model shoot was as always one of the best nights of the year and a great opportunity for photographers of all abilities to work with studio lights. We would also like to thank everybody who helped with organizing the lights and props etc.

Still Life photography night Mon 10th October.
Hi everyone. Tomorrow night (10th Oct) is Still Life night. Please bring you camera gear including and Flash guns, tripods etc if you have them. Please also bring props with you so we’ll all have plenty to take photos of. This is always a great learning night and there’ll be plenty of photographers around to help out. See you all there.
First Open Competition 2016
We had a big entry for last Monday nights Open Competition, so big that we didn’t have enough time to add up all the scores and announce the winners on the night. There was some wonderful images on display on the night and the voting was extremely close in all levels. Thanks to everyone that took part and also to those who voted on the night.

New Season open evening on Monday 5th September
Hi everyone. On Monday the 5th of September we’ll have our open evening in the function room of The Arches Bar Mallow at 8:30p.m. We’re welcoming everyone with an interest in photography to come along and see a presentation of out members photography work, both printed and Digital displays. We’ll also outline our club program for the coming season so it would be an ideal time to join our club if you’re interested. They’re be plenty of members there to answer any questions you might have about the club or photography in general. See you all there.

Photographer of the year 2016 was a great success. Well done to everyone who took part and a big Congratulations to the winners . Thanks to Kieran O Mahony and Sean Murphy for all the hard work getting the images and the score sheets ready for the competition . A very special thank you to Killarney club judges , John, Terry and Marek for traveling to judge the competition and all the advice the gave on the night, we really appreciate all your help. Another big thank you to cork County Mayor John Paul O Shea for taking time to come along on the night to present the prizes. Finally, thank you to all our club members for making our club such a great success. See you all in September.
